Latif Bolat, a celebrated Turkish artist now based in the USA, hails from Mersin, Turkey. He holds degrees in folklore and music from Gazi University, as well as Turkish history and Middle Eastern religion from Ankara University. Bolat has managed Ankara Halk Tiyatrosu, renowned for its expertise in Turkish mystic-devotional music.

He performs with the traditional Turkish stringed instrument, the Baglama (or Baglama Saaz), and boasts a diverse repertoire that includes classical, folk, and Sufi music. Bolat has shared his work internationally, integrating lectures with musical performances to explore the intersections of Turkish culture, history, and politics.
