Born to a musical family, Rosy Dutta received her first taleem from her mother Smt. Sabita Pandit. She went on to receive training from Guru Pandit JVS Rao (the legendary disciple of Pandit Vinayak Rao Pattawardhan), Pt. Biresh Roy and later she took Taleem under the able guidance of Dr Sunanda Patnaik (legendary disciple of Pt Vinayak Rao Patwardhan, and the Doyen of Indian Classical Music).

Rosy Dutta has been carrying forward Hindustani classical music and has performed in several parts of the world, bringing much-deserved fame and recognition to her adept style of singing.
